Willful Neglect
Published in Paperback by Worldwide Mystery (January, 1999)
Author: Mary Morgan
Average review score:

Proving the obvious is never simple
Since you know the what from the very beginning you're left with finding out the who and confirming the why. Morgan throws in just enough plot twists and turns to keep you turning the pages. Well crafted characters and a subject that needed to be addressed. This short novel can be read in one sitting but won't easily be forgotten.

A splendid and compelling first novel, but no mystery
This novel captured my interest from the start and kept it throughout its short 244 pages. Mary Morgan explores the complex interplay of the legal and medical professions both sensitively and even-handedly. There is no mystery, because what might have been so, the death of a black child in hospital, is revealed right at the beginning, but the actions and emotions and the players, parents, nurses, doctors, lawyers, and the rest, keeps the interest level high until the last dramatic scene (not to be divulged in a review)

Woman of Grace (Brides of Culdee Creek, Book 2)
Published in Paperback by Fleming H Revell Co (May, 2000)
Author: Kathleen Morgan
Average review score:

Awesome
I didn't think Morgan could top DAUGHTER OF JOY but she's certainly done it with WOMAN OF GRACE. This story picks up where DAUGHTER OF JOY left off and is the story of the ex-prostitute, Hannah who Abby rescued from the brothel. Hannah and her baby have found a home at Culdee Creek and Hannah has been assisting Devin MacKay's wife. There are a lot of surprises in this story and to tell too much would rob the reader of much of the pleasure if too much is told. Suffice to say it's another powerful read from master storyteller Kathleen Morgan.

Beautifully Told Story! A parable of God's love!
Must Read this and the first in the series, Daughter of Joy. See reviews for the comb set of these two books, too. This book touched my soul. Passionate. Intriguing, surprises, and more...

This book is great!
I first saw this book at my mother-in-law's house and just loved it. I grew up in San Diego and it was fascinating to see the before and after photographs of places where I grew up. The book is full of great photographs and interesting historical text to go with it.

Adventures Beyond the Solar System: Planetron and Me
Published in Hardcover by Price Stern Sloan Pub (October, 1988)
Authors: T. Geoffrey Williams, Geoffrey Williams, and Pierr Morgan
Average review score:

ADVENTURES BEYOND THE SOLAR SYSTEM: PLANETRON AND ME
Originally purchased this wonderful book for my son when he was four years old. It taught him basic information about our solar system that I mistakenly thought he was too young to understand. The data was presented in an informative and entertaining way. The book that I purchased came with a cassette tape and he was able to read along. He read and re-read the book so many times that he wore out the binding. The story is of a young boy who is befriended by "Planetron." As I remember, Planetron, a robot, takes him on a tour of the solar system. The book is colorfully illustrated with pictures of the planets and sun. Information about each celestial body is displayed with the picture. My son is 19 years old now and recently mentioned that it is the one book he really remembers and would like to keep as a momento of his childhood.

Aeroblem Pilot's Journal: 1939-1959
Published in Hardcover by Chronicle Books (October, 1997)
Authors: Max Morgan and Chronicle Books
Average review score:

Like a movie tie-in with no movie...
The Aerobleu series is made to look like authentic Jazz-age artifacts, with a style and feel that have the reader almost able to smell the smoke in the air of the 'legendary' Aerobleu club in Paris. The Pilot's Journal, one piece of the puzzle that is the series, is handwritten and personal, with enough left out that there are "holes" that the reader's mind fills in.

I haven't picked up the other two Chronicle Books in the series, but I have a feeling that by the time I'm done reading them, there will be a timeless story indelibly etched on my mind of Aerobleu and it's glitterati. It's well worth both the price and the wait, and I can't recommend it highly enough.

The Age of Magnificence: The Memoirs of the Duc De Saint-Simon
Published in Paperback by Athena (November, 1990)
Authors: Duc De Saint-Simon, Ted Morgan, and Louis De Rouvroy Saint-Simon
Average review score:

Enjoy a taste of this French Pepys.
As Helene Hanff says in 84 Charing Cross Road, "I'm a great lover of I-was-there books." The Duc de Saint-Simon was certainly there, and, even better, was a witty and insightful racountier. As a courtier at the Sun King's court, he knew all the behind-the-drapes gossip, as well as having a keen understanding of such important figures of the day such as Louis XIV, Mme. de Maintenon, and James II. In addition, as with any great diarist, the more we read his writings, the more we enjoy the company of the Duc. This is an excellent introductory selection from his multi-volume diaries; it tends to emphasize the absurd, scatological, and scandalous episodes of court life. (Once you've read the story of the noblewoman who habitually took an enema in the presence of the king, I am sure you will see what I mean!) Those who enjoy this book can go on to the full "Memoirs of the Duc de Saint-Simon," which was, by the way, among Helene Hanff's favorites.
